Dr. Alexandra Bowles

Career & Education

Dr. Alexandra Bowles attended the University of Cincinnati for her undergraduate studies where she earned a bachelor of science in biology, with a minor in bioethics. She then attended medical school at Ohio University before completing her dermatology residency in Miami, Florida where she trained with some of the best medical and cosmetic dermatologists in the nation. While in residency, Dr. Bowles served as co-chief resident and chief of cosmetic training.

Personal

Dr. Bowles grew up in West Union, Ohio, about an hour southeast of Cincinnati. After residency, she moved back to Cincinnati and married her medical school sweetheart, Yousef, who practices pediatric anesthesiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. They have two adorable cats, Poppie and Toga. She is so happy to be back in Cincinnati with her family and to be providing dermatologic care to the patients of southeast Ohio.

“I feel so blessed to practice dermatology in the area I grew up. I strive every day to provide my patients with the most up-to-date care and make each patient feel appreciated and heard. My favorite part of dermatology is the continuity of care – seeing all members of a family for years, hearing about each patient’s life story, and helping them feel better in their skin!” shares Dr. Alexandra.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and her cats. She also enjoys exploring Cincinnati, being active, traveling the world, trying new foods, watching Netflix, and going to the movies.
